Operation Hurricane Update |
||
|
Dear residents,
Yesterday, I had the responsibility of supervising Operation Hurricane, working alongside officers from our Neighbourhood Policing Teams and Roads Policing Unit.
Operation Hurricane is a force-wide initiative targeting the illegal and anti-social use of off-road bikes, scramblers, Sur-Rons and other nuisance motorcycles that continue to cause concern and negatively impact our communities.
Throughout the day, officers conducted proactive patrols, vehicle stops and enforcement activity, focusing on areas where concerns have been raised by members of the public.
As a result of yesterday's operation, the following outcomes were achieved:
Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) Issued – 10 We understand the significant impact that nuisance bikes can have on local communities and remain committed to taking robust action against those who use vehicles illegally or in an anti-social manner.
Thank you to everyone who continues to report incidents and provide information. Your reports help us identify problem areas and direct our resources where they are needed most.
Regards PS 1650 Andy Holian - Saddleworth & Lees NBO Sergeant
